Emergency Overnight Shelter Now Open

The Salvation Army, in partnership with nine local organizations and churches, has officially opened an Emergency Overnight Shelter for the 2025-2026 winter season.

Shelter Details

• Location: The Salvation Army, 2 Unicorn Street, Newburyport
• Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM nightly
• Season: December through March

Services Provided

Guests will receive:

• A warm, safe place to sleep
• Dinner and breakfast
• Access to restroom facilities
• Referrals to social services

How to Help

Community members can support the shelter by:

• Volunteering as overnight monitors
• Donating warm clothing, blankets, and toiletries
• Making financial contributions to The Salvation Army
